Although it’s generally true that there’s nothing like a good holiday to unwind, far too often the break that we end up having turns out to be nothing like a good holiday. The hassles of airport queuing, dodgy accommodation, bored kids and unexpected expenses on foreign holidays can all conspire to undermine any of that precious relaxation you were hoping for. This is one of the reasons for the increase in popularity of the “staycation” in recent years – helping to keep the travel hassles to a minimum and the holiday well within budget.
