United States of America is a large country in North America which made up of many diverse ethnic groups and cultures. The United States well known for its dominant role in the world. The American products also widely influence the world. The United States of America always become an attraction for people to feel its atmosphere. The country which declared its independence on July 4, 1776 has many famous landmarks which became the icons and attractions of the states. Following are 7 famous landmarks in USA.

#1. The Statue of Liberty

This is one of the most famous landmarks in the United States. This statue is located in the New York City Harbor. The statue of Liberty is the freedom symbol,  and a welcoming sign of the United States to immigrants arriving from abroad. This statue also a gift and friendship symbol from the people of France to the people of the United States. The statue which designed by Frederic Auguste Bartholdi and dedicated on October 28, 1886, represents Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom. The female figure holding a torch in the right hand and a tablet in left hand which inscribed the date of the American declaration of independence.

The White House is the official residence of the president of the United States located in the capital of the country, Washington, D.C. This building is popular around the world and became one of the most popular tourist attractions in the United States. The White House contains 132 rooms, and 7 of these are open to public tours. The White House, together with former U.S. President Andrew Jackson also featured the United States twenty-dollar bill.

Mount Rushmore is a unique and famous rock carving work located in the state of South Dakota, US. The mount depicts the faces of four former United States Presidents. There are the first U.S. president George Washington, third president Thomas Jefferson, sixteenth president Abraham Lincoln and twenty-sixth president Theodore Roosevelt. Mount Rushmore is a landmark and an icon destination for many travelers to the local area.

Empire State Building is one of the tallest buildings in the world. It is the second-tallest building in New York and third tallest skyscraper in the United States. That why this building became so popular. Manhattan, New York City, where this building located is known as the core retail and commercial. The world’s  highest concentration of business and money in the city popularize the building. In 1996 the Empire State Building was designated a New York City landmark and became the popular attraction in the city.

The Washington Monument is a United States Landmark located on the National Mall, the heart of Washington, D.C. This monument built to commemorate the first president of the United States, George Washington. With its 169 m height, it is the tallest obelisk in the world. That is why this monumental structure became one of the famous landmarks in the United States.

United States of America really appreciate the history. There are numerous monumental structures which showed the long story of the states. The Lincoln Memorial is one of which. This memorial built to honor the sixteenth president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. The Lincoln Memorial located on the National Mall, Washington, D.C. just across the other U.S. famous landmark, Washington Monument. This landmark preserves the great memory of Abraham Lincoln. One of the famous features of this memorial is the Abraham Lincoln Statue which lying in the central hall. The Lincoln Memorial is open to the public 24 hours a day and free to visit. About 6 million people visit this memorial each year.

If there are many famous landmarks in the USA dominated by monuments and historical buildings, San Francisco, California, has a different landmark structure. Yes, Golden Gate Bridge. It is one of the most famous landmarks in the United States and made up of the other National Historic Landmarks; The Presidio and Fort Mason. This bridge has beautiful view and also considered as the most beautiful and most photographed bridge in the world. The Golden Gate Bridge connects San Francisco to Marin County.
